End-of-Year Artsravaganza: CARBON2185.README

Ah, 2020... did this year actually live up to some dystopic fiction? Truth indeed seemed to become worse than fiction for this year, touted in Cyberpunk 2020 back in the day. Now that we're here in "the future," it makes me turn my mind back to that genre. I've read tons of cyberpunk fiction but never really gamed in that genre. In 2021, I hope to return to the gaming table in the flesh, and I'm considering finally using the Carbon 2185 rules to jack into some cyberpunk gaming goodness!

So, to close out this wild and futuristic year, I'm dedicating the first day of my annual artstravaganza to Carbon 2185 and all things cyberpunk!

End-of-Week Game Art (12/11/20): Carbon 2185 Cover

I know there's that big cyberpunk video game everyone's buzzing about right now, based on that cyberpunk tabletop RPG from the early 90's (which is also getting a new version). But in the meantime, there's a little game called Carbon 2185, built on the D&D 5E chassis, that is pretty swell, too! Check it out when you get a chance!

End-of-Week Inspirational Art (12/4/20): Mork Borg Cover

Have you heard the good word about Mork Borg? If not, disciples of darkness, go ye forth and obtain your own copy of this occult roleplaying tome! That's all I'll say for now. I'm hoping to delve into a discussion about this grim, fun little RPG gem on this here blog at some point. Until then, do thy own digging!

End-of-Week D&D Art (10/30/20): Coldlight Walker

This is a really cool creature from the Rime of the Frostmaiden adventure for D&D 5E! It was inspired by the iconic poster for 1982 version of The Thing:

I love that movie, so I really appreciate the homage! Coldlight walkers are the reanimated corpses of humanoids who died from cold exposure. Awesome! Really makes me want to run this adventure, just to have players encounter this creature!

I hope you all have a safe and fun Halloween!

End-of-Week Rime of the Frostmaiden: Auril's Abode

End-of-Week D&D Artwork: Rime of the Frostmaiden

I'm kinda excited about this next D&D campaign book, set in Icewind Dale, the frozen north of the Forgotten Realms made famous in the books of R.A. Salvatore. Check it out!

End-of-Week Dragon Age TTRPG: Dwarf Commoner
