Let's Hear It for 35!

Ay, I've got 35 followers (a.k.a. Minions) as of today! That's one follower for every year I've been alive! Not bad for a guy who doesn't really post that often (I would love to do so more often...working on it...)

You like me, you really like me! Though, I'm not entirely sure why you like me! Are my posts interesting enough for you guys? Maybe my more recent stuff has been a bit more engaging. I know I've mostly been posting the ups and downs of my gaming situation. There's not much here in the way of deep musings or gaming "philosophy," and I haven't been posting a lot of usable materials such as maps, magic items, adventure hooks, etc. (though I have always intended to do so...maybe someday...)

So maybe some of you just like hearing personal stories of someone actually trying to play/run games?

Ok, I'll go ahead and formally ask the question of you, the reader: why do you follow/read my humble blog?

  1. Aw biscuits! I didn't know there was going to be a quiz.

I can't honestly remember how I found my way here (I'm 42, I have a hard enough time remembering what I had for breakfast or what day of the week it is), but I can say you don't write like a pretentious hack, so that is what usually brings me back around.

  2. Thanks, John! I'm glad to add "not a pretentious hack" to my blogging resume!

  3. I also don't remember how I found your blog, but I think it was probably from see the title of one of your posts that intrigued me on somebody's blog-roll, so I clicked over and started reading regularly.

I actually like that you're not being all philosophical or just providing a bunch of stats and things. It's a nice mix of your gaming memories/thoughts, your campaigns, and... you know, just "life." Honestly, reading blog after blog of "here's a cool new dungeon room I mapped" gets a little tedious. Sometimes it's nice to read about the person behind the blog.

Anyway - cheers! You have two more followers than me, and I've got about 5 years on you!
